Independent school enables families to select the best-fit learning environment for their child and join a community of families who share common values and aspirations for their children. Léman recognizes the financial commitment required for private school education and we make Léman accessible to a wide range of families across income levels.
A common misconception about private school is that only a small portion of families with significant need receive financial aid. At Léman, we understand the cost of tuition is out of reach for many families. We encourage you to talk to us even if you think you will not qualify for financial aid but cannot afford full tuition.
Please consult our Tuition Assistance Predictor below. Often families are surprised to learn there can be a path to making a Léman education a reality for their child. We also offer several tuition payment options so families can determine what works best for their budgeting.
Tuition at Léman Manhattan Preparatory School is inclusive of:
• International Baccalaureate Program
• Books and learning materials
• Field trips
• Daily lunch and snacks from Léman’s culinary team
• Yellow Bus service to and from school for students who qualify
• Transportation to and from after-school activities
• Early drop off at 8am for students in PreK2 through 5th Grade
• Domestic overnight curricular-related trips in grades 5-8
• Educational technology devices through grade 5 (Students in grade 6 and up provide their own iPads/laptops)
• Athletic programs for grade 7 and up
• Athletic uniforms and equipment
• After-school extracurricular clubs and after-school film, music and theatre programs in grades 6-12
• Admission to school concerts and various arts/theatrical events
• Annual yearbook, class photos and graduation/moving up ceremony photos
Unlike most New York City private schools, Léman does not conduct fundraising or seek contributions for educating students, providing financial aid, supporting capital improvements or maintaining facilities.
We offer a $2,000 sibling tuition credit for families with more than one child enrolled at Léman.

Léman Manhattan is committed to enrolling a diverse range of students from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds. We encourage families with demonstrated need to apply for financial assistance, which is available starting in Kindergarten.
Our school uses School and Student Services by NAIS (SSS) to process financial aid applications. SSS is a service of the National Association of Independent Schools. Based on the information you provide, SSS gives us an estimated amount your family can contribute to educational expenses, which helps us make fair and objective financial aid decisions.
The financial aid process is comprised of two steps:
Step 1 - Indicate on your child's application that you will be seeking assistance. See our How To Apply page to begin your application.
Step 2 - Complete the Parents' Financial Statement form on the SSS website. Léman Manhattan's SSS Code is 4242.
Don't worry. We're here to help! Our goal is to make your experience with the admissions process a pleasant one. Please email a member of the admissions team or call 212-232-0266 with any questions, or to schedule a visit to Léman Manhattan.
This chart is intended to provide a general guideline for the likelihood to receive financial aid at Léman. It does not represent a final financial aid award decision. Annual income is one of a number of data points used in the calculation of financial aid awards.
If you have questions about financial aid eligibility and the application process, please contact the admissions team.
